Internships & Practica
Handbook for New Faculty
One of the tasks for my internship in the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of West Georgia in the summer of 2018 was helping to update and edit the 2018-2019 edition of the Handbook for New Faculty. I updated the statistics, policies, and procedures for the new academic year and created the cover art.
The Navigator
Originally, The Navigator at the University of West Georgia served as the textbook for UWG 1101, an introductory class for first-year students. After the implementation of a new academic model, UWG 1101 was updated to XIDS 2002, under which professors could choose their own textbooks.
Therefore, as a practicum student in Spring 2018, I revised The Navigator from a textbook into an orientation and resource guide for first-year students. For the 2018-2019 edition, I worked with campus partners to update the material, revised the material into a more accessible format, and added important history and campus resources.
